The way the fabrics look, I really don’t mind strapless dresses, especially on short dresses. They are just such a chic and romantic shape. But, if you can’t deal with a strapless dress, then a great way to hide it is to wear a soft collar dress or vest style.
Also, always wear something with a belt, so that you don’t feel too exposed.
The color:
I love nude colored dresses. They look so elegant and pretty and it makes them pretty versatile. I would love a black lace top or a dark navy. A muted green is a good option too.
The material:
If you are a bit self conscious about a strapless dress, I would still try and wear one. If you are with someone who can help you, a corset would hide it but it is a step up if you do it yourself.
The length:
This is the most important part. When you have a date in mind, make sure it will be suitably long to get away with a strapless dress without making it look like you’ve had your period. So, if you have a slender body, a ballgown, maxi, maxi maxi maxi or puffy trouser hemline works really well.
